You Can Swim in My Bowl Anytime!

Good Saturday afternoon!
I've got a cute Taylored Expressions card to share with you today!
Just a couple of days ago I received my order from the TE store and could not wait to ink up this adorable fish image from the last release. At CHA we made a card with this image for a Make and Take. I loved how Taylor added the sparkle and wanted to do it here. You can click my second image for a closer look but basically we used a quickie glue pen, swirled it around and then dumped on some glitter....voila!
Stamps: Animals in Love Fish, Animal Love Sentiments; Cardstock: White, DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Quickie Glue Pen, Glitter
Don't you love the effect of the swirled glitter? I love it!
Thanks for stopping by this afternoon! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
I'm off to do some more stamping!

Baby Buds

Look at these new cuties!
It's day two of the All That Scraps sneak peeks and up today is Baby Buds. There are some really adorable images in this set!! I just love the curly hair...it's so fun, eh?
I paired her up with some older American Crafts Backyard DP. I just love the colours...so springy!
Stamps: Baby Buds; Cardstock: White, American Crafts DP(both sides); Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Mat pack and paper piercer, Scalloped circle punch, button, thread, ribbon, dimensionals
Remember that you can always stop by the ATS blog for your chance to WIN the new sets that will be available on March 3rd at 10 pm Eastern.
I've had a really long week at work and I'm hoping today is super duper short and I can be home to relax early today :)

Valentine's Day Cooking

Our family has a tradition of making heart-shaped pizzas to celebrate Valentine's Day. I had so much fun making this layout using From My Kitchen and Sweethearts cartridges. From My Kitchen has so many cute kitchen images. The paper is from the DCWV Be Mine paper stack (50% off after Valentine's Day, found by Charlotte).

Cards for Haiti

Yah! The cards are finished and being sold at my daughter's school as a fundraiser. The watercolor painting by the second graders is beautiful.

All Men Sentiments - ATS sneak peeks

Today starts the All That Scraps sneak peeks for March. Wow! Can you believe it's almost March already?!
AmyR has come out with a wonderful set called All Men Sentiments. Perfect for all those special men in your life!!
I wanted to keep this a simple card so I used a layout from Clean & Simple's FTL 76. Instead of adding ribbon I opted for a ribbon sentiment ;)
The release for the new stamps will be on Wednesday, March 3rd at 10 pm Eastern! ATS will be going back to release parties...so I hope you can join us in the forum that night!!

One sheet of paper - two quick cards

I promised myself that if I cut up my new DCWV stack I wouldn't cover it up too much on cards. The paper is just so pretty. Here are two cards I made with the All Dressed Up stack and the Sweethearts cartridge. The words With Sympathy are printed on the computer. I love the cartouche shape from the Sweethearts cartridge!

Rak Surprise!

In the mail today I received a package containing a rak I won at Bobbi's blog.I will be having fun with the stickers, rub-ons and ribbon. Love them.
Thanks so much Bobbi!

LRW #17

Black and white is the challenge this week.
I used MS garden trellis deep border punch, K&Company black and ivory paper, the image is from Digital Two for Tuesday, CB paper and some embellishments.

Hoo-Ray!

I am really wishing I was a SAHM again...lol
Not because I don't like my job because no matter how many times I say I hate it, I really don't. It's just when you finally have a day that you can stamp stamp stamp, you wish you could do that everyday! KWIM?
Monday morning before heading to work, for the late shift, I was able to stamp THREE cards! Now I know that won't be happening all that often so I took advantage of it while I could!
I picked up this cute MFT owl set when my girlfriends and I went on our roadtrip!
Stamps: MFT; Cardstock: White, Aqua Mist, MME dp; Inks: Memento black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Silver Brad, Martha Border Punch, Dimensionals

Sweet

Happy Tuesday!
This week is going to be crazy busy with work but luckily I've loaded up on cards last Sunday to share with you ;) I've taken on some extra responsibilities at work and it's messing with my stamping schedule...lol!
Anyway, I'm sure you popped in today to see what I've got to share, right?!
This first card uses the February Card Kit from PaperWorksCo. When I saw Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #57 I knew it'd be perfect to use up some scraps! There is no stamping on this card which came together super duper quick! The die cut flower also came in the kit ;)
This is my last official post as a member of the PWCO design team :( I've got so much going on these days that I didn't think it'd be fair to Peggy if I could not meet my commitments. She's such a doll and I'll still be meeting her for coffee and picking up goodies that I order from her...lol! I wish Peggy all the best!!
Stamps: None; Cardstock: All from the Feb Card Kit; Inks: None; Accessories: Martha Border Punch, Flower Die Cut, Dimensionals
I had so much fun with Karen's sketch that I had to make a second card! This one uses up scraps of some October Afternoon Farm Fresh dp! I ♥ this paper sooooooooo much! The tree was inked up in Choc chip, So Saffron, Ruby Red and Old Olive. I sponged some Soft Sky and Kiwi Kiss around the image while still in the nestie.
Stamps: Trendy Trees; Cardstock: Real Red, Very Vanilla, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Choc chip, So saffron, Ruby red, Old olive, Kiwi kiss, Soft sky; Accessories: Sponges, Ribbon, Circle nestie, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

How did it get to be Feb 21st??

Where does the time go? Here we are, mid-late February and I have been no better about blogging - what can you do??

Here are 2 of the cards I made for Christmas this year. I love them both in their own way. I have no idea why the dear uploaded sideways, but unless I can figure out how to rotate it, there it will stay!

I am trying to do a bit more crafting, as I am able. I love it and jsut don't get the time. Last night I did a couple of cards - sympathy cards, unfortunately - and a thank you card. I will take some pics and get them posted.

Family funeral tomorrow.

A la prochaine...

Die cuts galore

I'm all finished cutting out die cuts for my daughter's grade two class. Tomorrow I will help the students make an assortment of hand painted cards. The cards will then be sold to raise money for Haiti relief. These are most of the cut outs. I can't wait to see the finished product and make my donation of course.

LRW #16 Ribbon

Getting this card in just under the wire for last Wednesday's LRW challenge of using ribbon.

Thanks Sue!

Last week in the mail I received a nice surprise from my friend Sue. A lovely handmade book mark. Sue is a water colourist. This bookmark is made from a painting Sue called Fantasia. Sue has just started an artisan home based business called Brushstrokes featuring handmade notecards of her original art work.
Thanks Sue!Love it.

JustRite Week at Stampers Dream

Good Monday Morning!
I'm working the late shift tonight which means I have some stamping time this morning! Yippee!
This is JustRite week at Stamper's Dream and I can't wait to play along! There are so many wonderful images and sentiments available now, it's amazing!
Today I have a card made with Seeds of Kindness. It's a fairly simple card but it's a result I'm happy with. The image was stamped in Choc Chip and cut out with some Circle Nesties. A few mini rhinestones were added to the corners and also the sentiment. Yesterday I stopped at Micheals to pick up a couple Martha punches ;) I really like the look of this one!
Stamps: Seeds of Kindness; Cardstock: Choc Chip, White, American Crafts DP; Inks: Choc Chip; Accessories: Martha Border Punch, Ribbon, Circle Nesties, Mini Rhinestones, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today I hope you have a FABULOUS week!
Be sure to visit Cammie, Amy and Laurie today to see what fantastic eye candy they have created with JustRite Stamps!
Tomorrow there is another fantastic line up of Cindy, Denise, Michelle and Tosh!

Taylored Expressions - February 20th KI Kit

Good Saturday Morning!
Today half of the Baker's Dozen are sharing projects made with the February 20th Key Ingredients Kit.
Karen Motz
Alex Maldonado
Jackie Pedro
Laurie Schmidlin
Sankari Wegman
Taylor VanBruggen
The KI this month contains:
Making Memories DP and the cardstock colors are Blush Red Dark, Vibrant Pink, Sunflowers Medium, Black and Classic Yellow Green.
Our challenge this month was pops of colour. We were to make mostly black and white cards with a pop of one colour.
If you view my blog often then you know black is my least favourite colour to use. I find it really difficult to work with. I'm more of a bright, bold, fun colour person...kwim? LOL!
My first set of cards uses the Discover Your Wings set. It's definitely a favourite of mine!
I actually really like how they turned out!!
Here is my first set:
A close up ;)
*Note the buttons on this project were from a stash and not the KI kit...I wanted three that matched and the KI comes with a variety of pretty buttons.
Stamps: Discover Your Wings; Cardstock: Prism Black, Sunflowers Medium, Choice Snow White, DP; Inks: So Saffron, Black; Accessories: Circle nesties, Wavy border punch, Button, Thread, Dimensionals, Ribbon
My second set of cards uses the same basic layout as the ones above. These cards use the Berries and Cherries Set. Another fave set of mine!!
A close up :)
Stamps: Berries and Cherries; Cardstock: Choice Snow White, Blush Dark Red Prism, Black, DP; Inks: Riding Hood Red, Black; Accessories: Circle nesties, Corner rounder, Ribbon, Dimensionals
There is also a new monogram download available at TE! Stop by Taylor's blog for all the details!
On a side note:
This is my last official post as a member of the Baker's Dozen. With all the shipping issues I'm not able to participate in the monthly sneak peeks(with the exception of last month because I got them at CHA...lol) and it's important to Taylor and the success of Taylored Expressions to have girls who can play along each month. I'm sad to leave but you will still continue to see TE images here on my blog. I wish Taylor all the best and hope her company continues to grow by leaps and bounds!
Sneak peeks for March will begin very soon with the Baker's Dozen! Keep your eyes out!
Hope you have a wonderful Saturday! I'm at work all day but will definitely make my way around blogs tonight!

Flower Power

This is my second post for today....
I was so excited to have yesterday off work! I stamped and stamped! Made a total of 8 cards!! Pretty exciting, eh? LOL!
This cute monkey card was made with a new stamp from CC Designs called Flower Power and you can find it at All That Scraps. I stamped the image in Memento black and coloured with Copics. The flower part was stamped again, coloured, cut out and popped up. I changed the stitch on my sewing machine to a straight stitch but I don't like it as much and now I can't get it back to the zig zag stitch without it breaking. I'll need to play with the tension again...grrr!
Stamps: Flower Power; Cardstock: Real Red, Vanilla, White, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black, Soft Sky; Accessories: Copics, Sewing Machine, Ribbon, Dimensionals
Have a GREAT weekend!

Discover Your Wings

Good Morning!
I have the day off today and have a few errands I would like to get done. Like going to the bottle depot...lol. I've been trying to go for a couple of months now but other things come up....maybe today I'll make it there!
I haven't stamped in days so I dug into my stash of cards I had made a while back that never made it to my blog.
This one is from Taylored Expressions and the set is called Discover Your Wings.
I stamped the sentiment in Memento black, cut it with a nestie and then sponged in some Kiwi Kiss. The butterfly was stamped in Pomegranate, cut out and popped up. I added some candy dots too!
Stamps: Discover Your Wings; Cardstock: Red and Green Prism, Choice Buttercream, DP; Inks: Memento Black, Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: Nesties, Wavy Border Punch, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Candy Dots, Dimensionals

Sporty layouts

I have kids in sports and after a few years in hockey or soccer or any other sport you start to run out of ideas to scrap the pictures. In the case of hockey, you can run out of different papers as well. The Sports Mania cartridge has a background page as one of it's creative features. Here are my new background pages to scrap both kids' soccer and my son's hockey.

They Should Just Call it Crack - Skipping Stones

Card-making with Grade Twos

I had to stop cutting out the die cuts because my blade got too dull.

Skipping Stones Blog Hop – Hop(e) for Haiti

Welcome to Skipping Stones Design’s Blog Hop(e) for Haiti. If you just happened upon my blog today, you’ll want to go back to the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have come from Kim Teasdale's blog.
As a company, we wanted to do something to give back to the people who have been so devastated by the Haitian Earthquake. So we thought what better way than to invite some of our favorite stampers to join us in this cause. Each card you see on the blog hop today will be auctioned on E-bay with all proceeds going to the Red Cross in support of the Haitian Relief Effort (please check the Skipping Stones Design Website for the link to the auction). 100% of the proceeds of the Ebay auction and $2.00 from every stamp set purchased from February 16 - 22 will be donated to the Red Cross. We know that we can make a difference.
I'm so excited and honoured to be playing and hopping along with so many wonderful stamping friends! The Skipping Stones stamps are awesome! I've been playing with them like crazy! So you'll see more cards in days to come.
First up is a card I made for a little girl's birthday using the You Know You're Getting Old When set. Isn't this cake fun and whimsical!?! This card measures 5 x 5.
Stamps: You Know You're Getting Old When; Cardstock: White, Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, Dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Ribbon, Button, Thread, Stickles, Dimensionals, Nesties
My next card uses the same set You Know You're Getting Old When. I am loving this set...it's so funny! I added some Glossy Accents to the car windows and tail lights. Oh and lookie...I sewed again! I even stitched straight! This card measures 3 x 6.
Here is a shot of the inside of the card...
Stamps: You Know You're Getting Lucky When; Cardstock: White, Aqua Mist, So Saffron, DP; Inks: Memento Black, So Saffron; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Sponges, Sewing Machine, Glossy Accents, Dimensionals
Thank you for stopping by and your next blog to hop to is Karen Giron's Blog.
BUT before you go....
How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! There will be a few pre-release sets up for grabs hidden along the blog hop. The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!!
