My Time Made Easy - Shop Around Template and Blog Hop

It's release day at My Time Made Easy!
Today I'm sharing a couple of 3D Shop Around templates that I decorated. I'm not normally a 3D sort of person but Lauren's templates and my Cricut Expression sure do make it easy :)
My houses/shoppes were both resized to 80% using the Sure Cuts A Lot programs so that I could use 8.5 x 11 cardstock.
My first shoppe uses many stamps from Home Improvement, Sign It and Display 1. I've also used some of the cut files which were resized by 80% to fit the stamped images.

The roof pattern is from the Construction Materials - Colour Me Pretty -Square Roof Tiles digi paper. Wait until you see all the fun patterns for your shoppes! Bricks, stone, Spanish tiles, wood planks~! Fun stuff! I printed my pattern on kraft cardstock.
Next up is a cute little house. When I originally started this house I was going for an old school house look. Then it changed to maybe a fire house. Well the final result is what you see....lol Again my house was resized by 80% in my SCAL program before cutting with the Cricut Expression.
A close up shot of the Judikins glaze I added to the windows and also some fun felt grass.
This is my last project that I will be sharing as a My Time Made Easy team member. With my new job, looking for a new house and relocating to a new city sometime in the near future, my stamping time will be very limited. I've enjoyed my time with Lauren and the girls and wish Lauren all the best!!
Before you leave today I do hope you'll stop by the team blogs and see what fabulous creations they have to share with you today!

Be sure you leave a comment on each design team member’s blog today because TWO of the design team members are going to be picked to have someone from their blog comments WIN a $50 Gift Certificate to My Time Made Easy ™ LLC!

NO ONE knows which two designers are hiding the treasure, so don’t forget to stop by each design team members blog and leave a little love there. Include your email address-so you can be contacted if YOU are one of the lucky winners!

Winners will be drawn September 3rd, and announced on Lauren's Blog!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Mooo...

Today's card is quick and simple. I cut her out on my Gypsy at 3.9 inches, so it would fit in an A2 envelope. I made it for my daughter, who wanted me to cut her the cow on Create a Critter. We all love that cartridge :)

The paper is a mix of Walmart stuff and StampinUp. I used Lots of Pun stamp by Joy's Life, Memento Ink, stickles to bling up her horns and the pink bow, StampinUp ribbon.

Challenges I am submitting this for:
Made by Momo - black, white and on other color - I chose pink
Paper Playtime - at the farm
Pollycraft Monday - nature

Halifax is currently melting in a heat wave, and Hurricane Earl is following quick behind - we are going to be battoning down the hatches. Hope everyone in his path stays safe this week :)

End of August

End of August of this very hot summer. The heat is back on, temperatures in the mid 30's C. Humidity stifling. Dry , no rain. Watering the gardens on my agenda today.
Certainly no one can complain that this summer hasn't been summer like.
Now that the sunflowers are setting seed the goldfinches are enjoying dining and throwing around seed shells....
The antics of these birds bring a smile , hanging upside down, chattering away, fighting off others looking for a treat.
Thursday the forecasters are predicting rain and cooler temps coming.
Wonder what the Autumn weather will bring? Hopefully a warm sunny fall , a favourite season.

Bookmarks all around

For my bookclub ladies...

I love my laminator...

I am all about encouraging literacy...

For children in French school...

I think I have bookmarks out of my system now and I can make other things..

You're On My Mind

Sunday afternoon I created this card for the Featured Stamper on SCS. I chose to CASE this card here.

I really liked the stamping on designer paper and the clean design.

Of course I added a few extras like buttons and ribbon ;)

Stamps: PTI Button Bits; Cardstock: Kraft, Kiwi Kiss, DP; Inks: Kiwi Kiss and Black; Accessories: Buttons, Thread, Corner Rounder Punch, Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!

Fairy princess

This card was partly designed by my 4 year old. She gave me color suggestions, purple is her favorite color, followed closely by pink and chose the fairy. She loves Once Upon a Princess and often asks me to cut things from it. This is the card I came up with, following her guidelines:

The fairy and flowers are from Once Upon a Princess, the stamp is from MFT's Pure Innocence line, and the paper is all StampinUp. Sorry about the picture quality, I was having issues with light when I took it. The dress, hat and wings are all purple, and they look sort of blue/grey in this pic.

Challenges I am submitting this card for:
Pixie Dust - stitching
Flutterby Wednesday - anything goes
CES Challenges - anything goes
Craft Your Days Away - with wings
Magical Monday - flowers
Aly's Sunday Challenge - pretty in pink
Mark's Finest Paper - friendship card
One Stitch at a Time - girl card and color scheme

Hope you all have a great day, I'll be back with another card in the next day or two.

My Time Made Easy - With A Latte Thanks!

I have many coffee drinking friends and this cup in the On Display 1 and the sentiment from On Display 1 Sentiments is perfect! All of these sets will be available very soon from My Time Made Easy.

I kept this card fairly simple and attempted to use my Janome Sew Mini. One of my first cards with it...lol

I stamped the image on kraft and coloured with copics. A little stitching, ribbon and cutting with the nesties and my card was done!

Stamps: On Display 1, On Display 1 Sentiments; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Kraft, Regal Rose; Inks: Memento Black, Choc Chip; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Ribbon, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals
I wanted to use the new Sign It stamp set as well and whipped up this fun card using the house image from the set. This is a Set of 30 Images $20 *Also Available in Digital Download.

I stamped the image in Memento Black and added a little bit of colour with Copics. A few layers of cardstock and a little stitching finish off this card!

Are you ready for some more sneak peeks? Then stop by and visit Tracey, Pam and Lauren.

Stamps: Sign It; Cardstock: Spring Rain, Enchanted Evening, Lemon Tart, Vintage Cream, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Sewing, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!

Not tropical enough

... says DH for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week. What do you think?

The card is cut from the card feature on Life is a Beach. The water skier is from Going Places with some embroidery floss as the rope. The awesome sun is from H20 (my favorite cartridge this week). The sun and skier are pop-dotted.

My son needed this card right away for a birthday party so I can't change it to make it more tropical. (His friend loves all water sports.)

Not so sure...

You know how sometimes you have a picture of a card in your head, and it is simple, but cute and you are excited to make it? And then when you do make it, you think hmm - this is NOT how it looked in my head :( This is one of those:

The image is from Stretch Your Imagination, using the blackout and silhouette features. I cut the scalloped square from Storybook. The sentiment is a Close to My Heart stamp. I used Mostlt StampinUp paper, but the patterned paper was from my scrap box. The heart punch is from creative memories.

The card is based on a sketch challenge that I am too late to submit it for, but you can still go take a peek at the sketch - CPS Card Sketch - 181

The challenges I am submitting this for -
Pear Tree Design - wedding theme
Paper Playtime - anniversary

That's it for today, hope you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend!

You Brigthen My Day TESC126

Taylor had posted a wonderful TESC126 sketch that I thought would work well with some flowers that I had cut and sitting on my table!

This card came together rather quickly which was great for me! That left me more time to work on some other things ;)

Here I used some PTI flower dies, MFT Flower Trio(leaves) and Taylor's A Year of Sweet Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a WONDERFUL Sunday!

My Time Made Easy - For Someone Sweet

Welcome back for day two of the My Time Made Easy Sneak Peeks.
Today I'm sharing a couple of things with you. First one being this cool cut file called Homemade Card & Envelope. I resized mine to 80% because I didn't have any 12 x 12 cardstock that I liked...lol That's a GREAT benefit of using a Cricut or any type of personal cutter, you can resize projects to your liking. Bonus! You pull up on the roof to expose the card inside!
My second item I wanted to share are a couple of stamp sets that will be available soon called Shoppe Window and On Display 1.
Shoppe Window: Set of Large 4 Images
On Display 1: Set of 27 images
***both sets will be available as a digital download
I stamped the window image and lighted watercoloured it. The candy lollipops were colored with my SU! markers. I added a bit of stardust stickles to the candy as well.
See that fun pattern paper? It's from the Lollipop Love Collection.
Here is a shot of the inside with the card pulled out.
Stop by Lauren, Stephanie and Silke to see some amazing projects today!

Poor Hydrangea

It has been a very hot and dry summer. We haven't gotten a lot of rain here. Rain has been all around us but this little plot has been missed.
My usually lovely hydrangea has suffered more than any other plant. Yes, did water but this poor plant just could not take the weather. Sadly I won't be getting the lovely dried blooms for the house .

Hope

****For My Time Made Easy sneak scroll down thanks!
This was a card I made last weekend for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS.

I used some oldies but goodies on this one!

I reached for a couple of Taylored Expressions sets. One called Faith & Hope and the other called Luxurious Labels.

My soft colours came from this scrap piece of Basic Grey dp.

My Time Made Easy Sneak Peeks Begin!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for stopping by! It's time for the My Time Made Easy Sneak Peeks to begin :) I'll be sharing projects over the next several days along with many other of my teammates!

Today I made a card with a new set called Home Improvement which is a set of 21 Images $20- *Also Available in Digital Download* This set was designed to not only enhance your Shop Around template, but also help make your little Shop Around box look like a home!

For my card here I used the frame, window box, flowers, curtains and grass. That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this huge set!

Stop by Lesa, Tammy and Katie as well as Lauren for some fun inspiration using the Shop Around Template.
Stamps: Home Improvement; Cardstock: Choc chip, So saffron, Vanilla, Aqua Mist, October Afternoon dp; Inks: Memento Black, Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: Copics, ribbon, dimensionals

Have a GREAT day!

Thanks So Much!

Wednesday night I had a few spare minutes to make a quick card using the Sketch on SCS.

This came together in about 10 minutes and is a Stampin' Up! only card.

I miss this designer paper. It's so colourful and fun! So me!

I inked the tree leaves in Old Olive, So Saffron and Rose Red to match the paper.

Stamps: Trendy Trees; Cardstock: So Saffron, White, DSP; Inks: Choc Chip, Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron; Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, Scalloped Circle, SU edge punch, Paper piercer, Dimensionals, SAMJ
Thanks for stopping by today!

Feeling Blue

I have a couple of productive days off. I made quite a few cards, got much of the house cleaned, finished reading Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkabahn (sp?) and started reading HP and the golblet of fire to my son, tidied up my scrapping space and made it a mess again... who could ask for more? Here is the card I'm sharing today:

The stamp is from MFT's pure innocence line. I do love those stamps. I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and used the baby oil technique to blend the colors. I am still really new to it, but it is a fun technique. Most of the paper is Stampin Up, the patterned paper I think may be old Creative Memories. The 2 little metal brads were bought at my LSS, no clue who made them, they were just in my stash...

Here are the challnges I am submitting this for:

Paper Cutz Challenges - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - sketch
If the Shoe fits - metal(brads)
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Blue and green

Hope you are all enjoying the waning days of summer - the nights are getting cool on the East Coast.

Last Week of August

Signs of Autumn approaching can be seen in the garden this last week of August.
Sedum Frosty Morn is showing off , a daylily is rallying with new scapes...
Autumn Joy sedum and Molina grass .
A true sign of fall coming, the only Mum I have starting to flower, really should get more
A huge Sunflower head enticing the birds.
It has been a true summer this year with lots of heat and humidiy; sad to see it go , still Autumn is my favourite time of year.

Life and Margaritas!

The other day one of my old co-workers filled me in on some things that she has going on in her life. She is keeping a strong face and trying to move on and I applaud her for it. I wanted to make her a fun card to remind her of a conversation we had over drinks on my last day. Although none of us actually had a margarita I figured this fun image and sentiment from Taylored Expressions Chillax set was perfect!
I stamped it in Memento on Choice Snow White and coloured with copics. I added a bit of stardust stickles to the rim and limes.
I've been practicing with my little Janome sew mini and having a blast with it! So happy I picked it up on vacation!
Stamps: Chillax; Cardstock: Kraft So Saffron, October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Stickles, Sewing, Dimensionals

The layout comes from Mercy's MTSC88. Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

School Time!

Two posts in one day - look at me!! Today at Cricut Cardz Challenge the theme was Back to School. I was inspired to make this cute little card on my Gypsy, while watching Harry Potter with my 8 year old. I love how I was able to multi-task - still spending time with him, and crafting too. I even managed to find some time to get it cut out :) The design team (of which I am now a part - see my earlier post today) has some great inspiration for you!

I used Locker Talk, cutting the bus at 5 inches, flipping it and welding it at the top. Fun and easy! The people are from Every Day Paper Dolls and the faces, from Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart set. I used mostly Stampin Up paper, though some was from my scraps box.

Challenges I am submitting this card for:

Cricut cardz Challenge - back to school
Little red Wagon - back to school
Paper Pretties - back to school
ABC Design Blog - Back to School
S2G Challenge - Back to school and yellow

I'll be back again tomorrow with another creation :)

Exciting news and a card set!!

A couple of weeks ago, I submitted these cards and a few others to Cricut Cardz Challenges to become a member of the design team. I was chosen, along with many other talented ladies. It is very exciting!! I have never been part of a design team before. I will be posting my creations every 2 weeks along with the other memeber of "Team 2"

This little set of 3x3 cards and the pink box to hold it was all made with Create a Critter and Lots of Pun by Joy's Life. The paper is all from my scrap box, and the ribbon I bought at the Dollar Store. These were so fun to make. They take very little time, and use up scraps. I love anything that uses up my scraps :)

I hope you all have a great day, and join us over at Cricut Cardz Challenge The challenges are always lots of fun! I'll be back tomorrow with a new post - or maybe even later today. I have an idea for the back to school challenge over at Cricut Cardz :)

Floral Fantasy - MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hey all! Before I get to my card you've got to hear the BIG news!! There will be FOUR new challenge members joining us very soon :) Stop by Kim's Blog to read up on who the rockstars are!

Ok now if you are still with me, which I hope you are, let me tell you a little about this weeks challenge. It's all about flowers! Use flowers on your card, use a floral image, use flower paper you get the idea!

For my card I used some fun My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup DP with flowers and the new Flower Die from MFT. I can't get enough of this sweet Being Cute Is What I Do image. She looks to be out of stock at the moment but I'm sure she'll be back soon ;)
My layout comes from Mercy's MTSC88.

I'm betting that Alex and Wendy have a fantastic floral card to share too! The challenge details will be found in the MFT Forum on SCS. If you upload to SCS please use keyword MFTWSC08252010 so I can find your creation!

Stamps: Being Cute Is What I Do; Cardstock: Kraft, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Cream and My Mind's Eye DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, MFT Flower Die, Sewing, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!

If you like Pina Coladas...

I love that song!! Cheesy, I know... but this card makes me think of it and smile :)

I created this card on my Gypsy, using Life's a Beach. It was a little more complicated than I expected it to be. This cartridge does not have a shadow feature, or even a blackout feature, both of which make shape cards alot easier. And I had to do a bit of doctoring tho the card base. The straw and the umbrella both got cut off the white base, so I could get it all to fold nicely. you can't even tell, looking at the front of it :)

The stamp is from Lots of Pun from Joy's Life. The paper is pretty much all Stampin Up, though a few random pieces are from my scrap box. I am happy with how it turned out! I think it looks YUMMY!

The Challenges I am submitting this to:

Fantabulous Cricut - tropical
Corrosive Challenge - drinks
One Stitch at a Time - shapes (I figure a shape card counts)
A Crafty Little Place - food - hopefully a lemon and a cherry count :)
Charisma Cardz Challenges - die cuts - I used my favorite die cutting machine, my cricut.

I'll be back tomorrow, with some new cards, and a little surprise...

Tropical plant surprise

Early this spring all my houseplants were looking rather sad.
One in particular; a mixed basket , given to us some time ago, looked so sad . Several plants in it had died . 3 only survived.
Do I know the name of any of these plants. NO! Did I do any reseach? No...
Still I decided to fill the empty spots with fibrous begonias and sit it out on the shaded front porch. Let it live or die. Watering and feeding was attended on a more frequent basis.
Perhaps it was the very hot summer and the intense humidity, perhaps it was the weekly attention it received, maybe the higher light conditions but this basket has grown and thrived.. Besides all the new growth it has put on .
The poor unnamed tall one has added a little interest.Flowers!

Flowers up close and personal.
At least I think they are flowers. They are a soft pink colour at the tips.
I wonder if these bell shaped drops will open?
This houseplant basket will receive a little more tender care this winter.
