Tea Time!

On June 1st all the new My Time Made Easy stamps, templates and papers will be ready to purchase!
I've got one last sneak peek for you though :)
The set I used today is called A Spot of Tea. It's a set of 20 images and so many possibilities!
Here is the complete set I've made for a friend.
A close up of the card. I stamped the teacup in Versafine black. The floral swirl was inked up with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive markers. A copic marker was used to add a bit of shadow to the handle and teacup bottom. See that cool designer paper that matches perfectly? Well that is from a new digi paper called Tea Time in Sprinkles. I LOVE this colour! I printed one 8.5 x 11 piece of digi paper and decorated the sides and back of the box along with the inside and outside of the card.
Stamps: A Spot of Tea; Cardstock: Couture Black, Sprinkles, White and Tea Time DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Stickles, Dimensionals
Here is a shot of the inside. I had a little bit of paper left and did not want it to go to waste.
I finally had time to sit and play with the Cricut Expression and one of Lauren's templates! So fun and easy!
This one is called Tea Tabbed Box. It goes together in a jiffy!
Thanks for stopping by to see my sneak peeks!
I do hope you will stop in at the MTME design team blogs today!
I know they will have amazing creations to share!
Have a GREAT day!

Crafting fun!

So finally I had some time to get some crafting done. I have even had a chance to figure out my gypsy a little bit! These cards are ones I made for my son's birthday back at the end of april. i used the new Robotz cartridge, which I love!! These were copied almost exactly from the inside of the cartridge handbook, but I think they are really cute!

I also did some goody bags. I will post pics of them tomorrow. I know, amazing that I would post 2 days in a row!! We'll all believe it when we see it, right?
A la prochaine...

Some layouts...

...not chosen for Canadian Scrapbooker magazine. I'll keep trying though. At least I can share them now on my blog.

MTME - Two sneak peeks!

I'm back with more sneak peeks of some My Time Made Easy stamp sets.
Have you seen all the goodness the girls have been sharing the past few days....wow!
I haven't used the teapot template that they previewed yesterday but it looks AMAZING!
Remember all of the new stamps, templates and paper will be available tomorrow June 1st.
Ok onto my first card :)
As many of you know, I'm not much of a paper piecing person BUT this large teacup is perfect for this technique. Obviously you can colour or stamp it as well but since there isn't too much intricate cutting involved I thought my fingers would be safe ;)
This image comes from the set A Spot Of Tea which has 20 fantastic images. So many possibilities for decorating your teacup!
My next card uses a new set called Well Preserved and has 58...yes...58 images! Wow, eh?
I had good intentions of making some jam with Chloe as we found a recipe in my new Kraft magazine that came BUT work has been insane this past week. My darling husband did pick up a jar of Smuckers Strawberry Jam for me to recover but alas I ran out of time for that too...lol
I hope you will take the time to see what fabulous creations the girls have cooked up today!
Sharing more card creations is Geny. Lesa, Tracy and Lauren will be sharing another new template.
Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back again tomorrow with another MTME card and maybe a template if I can squeeze it in....Monday is my day off! Yeah!

My village

A neighbour asked if I could make cards for her to give real estate clients to celebrate their anniversary of a home purchase. I really wanted to make a card in the shape of a house and did design one with the Gypsy but when I searched "house card" one came up on the Wild Card cartridge. I racked my brain to remember if I knew anyone who had this cartridge and thankfully a friend lent it to me. I purposely made this card in the RE/MAX colors and ran the die cut through the printer with all the necessary contact info. This was a fun project and I hope the first of many.

My daughter walked by the cards and told me she liked my happy little village.

Lincoln Star Clematis

This clematis planted late last fall is now flowering . The flower size is huge , 6 inches wide. The colouring lives up to its description with pale pink edges with deep rose centers and dark red stamens.
This vine is continuing to climb up the arbour and is now 6 feet tall.
Impressed with the first season of this plant.

Thank You

Taylor had a fabulous sketch posted last Friday that I used for yet another teacher thank you card. This Apple For You stamp set from MFT is perfect for them.
I stamped the image in memento black and coloured with copics. The card was kept clean with a few simple layers. Silver pearls were added for a little pizzazz! Love that little prima that I got from the Taylored Expressions store too!
Thanks for stopping by today~! I hope all my American friends have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

You Make Life Sweet - MTME sneak peeks

Today starts the My Time Made Easy sneak peeks! Lauren has come up with some fabulous goodies again this month!
Since I'm more of a "card girl" rather than a template or 3D maker I wanted to show you what you can do with just stamps and paper :)
You'll notice that I didn't use any designer paper!
I've used a couple of new sets that will be available on June 1st.
Killer Curves Fancy Frames and Well Preserved
Stamps: Killer Curves Fancy Frames, Well Preserved; Cardstock: Real Red, WW; Inks: Black, Real Red; Accessories: Copics, Crystal Effects, Ribbon, Button, Thread, Paper piercer, Nesties, Dimensionals
Stop by to see what Lauren, Geny, Stephanie and Katie have to share :)
I am positive it will be amazing!
Have a wonderful day!

Apple for You Thank You

It's been a few days since I last coloured a Pure Innocence girl from MFT and I was going through separation anxiety lol
I checked out the MFT blog to see what Kim's Wednesday challenge was and found out you were to use music of some sort on your card. Since I'm starting my thank you cards for Chloe's teachers at school I thought this one would be perfect for her music teacher Mrs. Weber.
My die-namics scallops have not arrived yet so I tried out Renee's cool scallops using 1 3/8" circle punches.
When I started out I was going to use the red dsp but realized I only had a small piece left and the apples would be going in the wrong direction....lol
I think the green works but wish I'd have looked before colouring. I would have changed the dress to red and the apple to green ;)
Here is an inside shot of the music notes. I stamped the image on the bottom and left plenty of room for Chloe to write on the top part.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Season of Friendship

Good News!
Chloe's wrist is healing very well and they took the full cast off yesterday! She was sooooooooo excited. They put on a half cast/splint that I can remove for her when she needs to have a shower but it needs to go right back on. She was fine with that! Knowing she didn't have to have a hot, itchy, heavy cast on for a long time was music to her ears!
Thank you for all the well wishes~!
The SCS sketch was a good one yesterday!
I went a little large with this one as it's a 5.5 x 5.5 card.
This Season of Friendship stamp set is a favourite of mine! I love to ink up the leaves in different colours :)
Stamps: Season of Friendship; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Vanilla, October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP; Inks: Choc Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Real Red, Pacific Point; Accessories: Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals
I'm only working a half day today...I hope...haha! Can't wait to come home and stamp!

A Pretty Pot

This pretty brightening my back garden patio table is jam packed with bright red New Guinea Impatien, red polka dot plant, blue ageratum, trailing ivy, pink lobelia and pink and white mini petunia. Thanks Rosanne for this lovely .

Happy Birthday Mojo Style

Happy Wednesday!
Chloe and I are off to the Pediatric Surgery Unit at the U of A today to see if her wrist is going to need surgery or not. Keeping my fingers crossed that all is good and the cast that is on will be good enough to heal her up. I haven't mentioned to her exactly WHY we are going to the specialist because it might be a fight to get her there otherwise...lol
On Monday evening I was able to play along with Julee's Mojo140 sketch. She always comes up with wonderful layouts!
I chose to use this cute PI girl called Birthday Princess that you can find in the Stampers Dream store. She was stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with copics. I then cut her out with some Nestabilities and sponged some So Saffron around the edges before removing the die. A little bit of yellow stickles were added to the flames on the candles.
Stamps: Birthday Princess; Cardstock: White, Intense Teal Prism, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely DP; Inks: Memento Black, So Saffron; Accessories: Sponges, Copics, Nesties, Paper Piercer, Stickles, Dimensionals, Ribbon, Thread, Button
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hope

I've been itchin' to use these beautiful Prima Flowers that I ordered from Taylored Expressions. I had to get them after seeing Beate use them on a card a couple of weeks ago...lol...
and luckily they match my new Cosmo Cricket DeLovely DP perfectly. I decided to go with a monochromatic card and used the Faith & Hope set. The layout comes from Taylor's TESC114.
Stamps: Faith & Hope; Cardstock: Choice Snow White, Intense Teal Prism, CC DeLovely DP; Inks: Taken With Teal, Soft Sky; Accessories: Nesties, Sponges, Prima Flowers, White Candy Dots, Ribbon, Paper piercer, Martha Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

Birthday Celebrations

On the weekend Rosanne hosted family birthday celebrations for Steve and Brittany.

Was a great time!

Spa Turtle

Good Morning!
Yesterday I sat down to play with this new stamp set from Stampers Dream called Spa Turtle by Inky Antics. It's a FUN set that you can piece together a little scene.
My idea came from the Featured Stamper on SCS. I chose to case this card of Nikki's.
She had an adorable image and clean layout.
I stamped the image in Memento Black and coloured with Copics. I used some new designer paper from Cosmo Cricket called DeLovely.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful start to your week!

Sunday in the back garden

Sunday in the garden; bright splashes of colour.
Pot of Pansies to brighten the side patio table.

Alliums are the last of the spring bulbs to flower.
The baptista is just starting to bud with its pea shaped purpley blue flowers.
Underneath I have newly planted purple Angelonia, dark face . Dayliles for later in the season are in this part of the garden.

My shade planter contains Angel Wing begonia ,soft pink in colour accented with a new coleus named Mint Mocha it has a lovely ruffled edge with cream, green and mocha colouring plus small blue and white lobelias to fill in.

The Fringe tree is fringing out , looking forward to the lovely scent.

The Milky Way dogwood is very slowly leafing out l. I was rather worried that it had not made it thru the first winter in my garden. Now it has swelling buds from the top to the bottom and few baby leaves and flower buds are showing. I did double check with the nursery where it was purchased last spring and they told me the first year or so dogwoods tend to open rather slowly; never heard that but seems to be true on this one.Just happy to see that it has lived especially in this windy yard.

A hanging bright fuchsia to draw in the hummingbirds thanks to my daughter Sherry. Pretty isn't it. The shepherds hook hold the fuchsia and wind chimes and is positioned so one can appreciate it when in the living room as well as on the patio.

This little impatien won me over with its interesting colour it is called Fusion Glow exotic , the throat has a cherry red surrounded by tangerine then the lemon yellow outer petals.
The bane of my existence has been killing heucheras yet these 2 are thriving each has many flower stocks on them; perhaps the secret to these beauties I finally understand...plant and ignore. The white astilbe is looking very healthy as well.
Hope you enjoyed this early spring back garden tour.

Let's Hang Out

Well it's the long weekend in Canada and as usual....we had some snow flurries earlier this morning....lol
The sun is TRYING to come out now but it's been a drab few days.
I decided that I needed to make a BRIGHT card ;)
On Friday my Taylored Expressions package arrived...in 5 days again! wwhhhooo!
I ordered a few things like the newest Hangin' Out set and some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely DP!
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to work for a few hours. Enjoy your Sunday!

Summer layout

I wanted to enter a challenge for She's a Sassy Lady Her challenge was to create a summer project - showing something you enjoy in the summer. There are already many beautiful entries. I thought I would do a layout showing something I would like to do this summer - take a Family Road Trip!

This is my first "Gypsy layout"! So happy about that! It took some trial and error to get everything figured out but I'm happy with the results. All the cuts are from Going Places other than the letters GPS.

My Umbrella

Whew! We have had a lot of rain the past few days but we needed it desperately. Besides it's a long weekend here in Canada and it's never nice for us...lol
I created this quick card using Mercy's sketch again along with some October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a FANTASTIC weekend!

Relax SC281

Today was my day off but I was super busy....super busy doing NOTHING....haha! Don't you ever have those days where you would rather just sit on the couch like a bump on a log? Well that was me today! :)
As dinner cooked I decided I'd whip up a quick card using the SCS sketch 281 from Wednesday.
I used one of my new Verve sets called Relax.
The trees were stamped in Memento Black and coloured with Copics. One tree top was cut out and popped up. I tore some kraft and sponged with ink.
Stamps: Relax; Cardstock: Kraft, Old Olive, White; Inks: Memento Black, Memento Rich Cocoa, Close to Cocoa; Accessories: Copics, Sponges, Nesties, Linen Thread, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals

It'll Be Okay Chloe

Oh geez...we have had our first and hopefully last broken bones...
Here is Chloe sporting her neon pink cast which she won for fracturing her wrist on Monday night....lol
We spent a long time in the emergency waiting for them to cast her arm but she was a total trooper! She only started to whine and cry a bit when it was 11:30pm and we'd been there forever. She was exhausted and all see wanted to do was go home to bed :(
Anyway, it looks like she'll have this for about 6 weeks. Just in time for summer vacation to start!
She was really bummed on Tuesday when she realized it's not as easy to do things with only one hand/arm. So I sat down after dinner to create a little card for her using the MFT PI Heart Stripes and My Umbrella(sentiment). The sketch comes from Mercy's MTSC74.
Stamps: My Umbrella, Heart Stripes; Cardstock: White, Night of Navy, So Saffron, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Word Window Punch, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Scalloped Edge Punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
