Wii are Family
This layout has been sitting on my desk half completed for over a month. I started out making a layout for a picture of my daughter playing her favorite Wii game called Wii Party.
I used my Gypsy to copy the logo on the box the best I could. (I have heard that there is a SVG file of the actual font out there)
One day this month, I was leafing through a scrap magazine at a stand and I saw a layout where the mom scrapped pictures of her family's mes (game personas). She came up with the title "Wii are Family". I loved that idea so this layout has evolved a bit. Now I need to set up a four player game with my family and take a picture of our four characters.
The paper for this layout is from the DCWV Generation Tech stack. I think I will use every scrap of paper from this stack!
I am entering this layout for a challenge at Paper Playtime. This week their challenge is to make a paper project featuring any type of technology.

Just Because Mojo Sketch
Happy Thursday!
On Monday I was able to create this card for the Mojo Sketch that was posted. I've been saving it to show you today while I'm in Toronto.
These are some of the new papers that I picked up at a LSS last week. They are the new My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose - Mabel Collection.
I stamped the flower from Great Friend onto the pattern paper and cut out. All layers are popped up with dimensionals. I added some tiny rhinestones to the flower center and around the scallops. The orange pearls were white until I coloured them with a copic ;)
I've got many more Verve cards coming your way soon!
Stamps: Great Friend; Cardstock: Kraft, Pumpkin Pie, MME dp; Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Distress ink Antique Linen; Accessories: Nesties, Lace, Rhinestones, Copic, Martha Border Punch, Pearls, Dimensionals

With sympathy card
I am trying to catch up on some cards I need to make and maybe do a few challenges at the same time. This is a sympathy card for a friend in my bookclub. (My "With Sympathy" sentiment stamp wasn't cooperating though so I just had to write it in the inside.)
I love the look of buttons representing leaves or buds on a tree for a sympathy card and have seen it before on other blogs. *scraplift*
The tree is cut from the Wall Decor cartridge. The buttons are from my 5lbs. bag of buttons from the sewing department. I embossed the blue with the Moroccan Screen Cuttlebug folder. The green printed paper is from the Mi Casa stack by DCWV.
I am entering this card at Fantabulous Cricut and Linda's Creativity. Both of these blogs have embossing challenges this week. Yay!

A lucky card...
Happy Wednesday everyone! It is challenge day over at Cricut Cardz Challenge. Todays challenge was to make a St Patrick's Day card using any cartridge or colors, but no shamrocks.
I got Simply Charmed for Christmas, which I was so excited about! I LOVE how cute this cartridge is! As soon as I saw the cute St Patrick's things, this card lept into my mind. Here it is:
Isn't it cute? The sentiment inside is from Create a Critter, all other cuts are from Simply Charmed. I used one of my cute Peachy Keen stamps for his face, and then decorated him with a little bit of chalk and my white gel pen. I love how cute he is :) The only thing that I might have changed is the size of the pot of gold - I kind of wish I had made it bigger... but I wanted to make sure it fit in an A2 card.
I hope you all come over to Cricut Cardz Challenge and see what DT # 2 came up with, and play along with us. Have a great day!
Some challenges:
My Time to Craft - hats
One Stitch at a Time - anything but a square
Paper Sundaes - masculine colors
Corrosive Challenege - magical creatures
Terifically Thrilling Thursday - anything goes
Crafty Purple Card - something magical
Pixie Dust Studios - shape card
A la prochaine...

"Arizona" thank yous
I must confess I bought the Old West Cricut cartridge because it was on sale without any projects in mind. Two days later I got an invitation to visit Phoenix, Arizona!
I am now thrilled to have this cartridge in my library to scrap my pictures and of course make thank you cards to my friend who hosted me and my MIL who took over while I was away.
All cuts are from this cartridge. The word "you" is welded with my Gypsy. Everything is inked. I used a wax pencil to try and make the little purple cactus look like the ones I saw. I used my white Signo pen for the pricks. (I loved the cactuses/cacti and palm trees!)
I am entering this card at Frosted Designs. Their Fabulous Friday challenge this week is to create a project without patterned paper.

Sweet Girl
Happy Monday!
Did you watch the Nascar race yesterday?! Oh my gosh....so exciting! Jeff didn't win :(
BUT I was excited to see that young kid, Trevor, win!!
Today is a holiday here in Alberta...Family Day....so I'm home! Love it!
I'm sharing a card that I created on Saturday using a new PI girl from the Out on a Limb set.
The designer papers are some of the new My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose. I picked up all four new paper packs on Friday! So pretty!

I hope to do a little stamping today before I take off for Toronto this week.
Enjoy your day!
Techno Day...
It is challenge day over at Paper Playtime. This weeks challenge is to use a Technology image: a computer, and mp3 player, a cell phone etc. I decided to make an iPod image - we own a number of iPod products, my kids have Shuffles, my husband has a Nano, I have a Classic and an iPhone. They all come with wires to connect them to the computer, and those wires seem to live in a tangled mess on our computer desk. I decided that I needed a place to put them. Here is what I came up with:
This image is from Smiley Cards, I cut it at 3.6 inches on my Gypsy girl. The "iPod" is cut from Robotz - my go to chunky font.
I bought this little box at my LSS for $1.50, cover it with some paper I had sitting in my stash boxes and voila!!
The perfect box for all those annoying wires :) I am going to have to pick up a few more of these boxes and decorate them to hold other things that are laying around. How perfect would they be for buttons, or bling in my craft room?
Head on over to Paper Playtime, see what the rest fo the design team came up with and play along with us :)
