This is a deceptively simple dish that is packed with flavour, so easy to make , a quick dinner........This recipe came from my Mom, from one of her friends..Don't be put off from trying based on ingredients....This dish is really yummy.
Ingredients:
4-6 boneless chicken breasts
Swiss cheese slices or approx. 1/2 cup per breast grated Swiss cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup white wine
Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix or 1 can french fried onion rings
Into a greased baking pan place chicken breasts, cover breasts with Swiss cheese.
Mix soup with white wine pour over cheese and chicken. Place handful of stuffing mix or onion rings on top of each breast.( used onion rings on mine) Bake 1 hour at 375 , uncovered. The sauce made is delightful on
rice, pasta, baked potatoes ( since the oven is on) add a tossed salad and in an hour a great meal.......
I do hope you try this and let me know if your families like it as much as mine.
