My Mom and I went on a winery tour this week . The tour was an outing organized by the recreation club at Coventry , Mom's condo community. Bright and early the bus picked us up and off we went to the Jordan area of Niagara.
The weather was sunny and mild..
First stop a Wine tasting and tour at Magnotta Winery.
Barrel Room
Fermentation Room
So many varieties , which one to get?
Back on the bus to Rockway Glen Golf Course and Winery for lunch. We were in a lovely room with huge picture windows overlooking the gold course and Niagara escarpment .
The escarpment was glowing with autumn colouring.
An informative tour of a winery museum.
Then off we went to the quaint village of Jordan in the Twenty valley of Niagara.
We strolled the boutique shops along the main street of course found a cute garden shop
and lovely lush plantings still looking good....another stop at Cave Springs winery shop for more wine tastings.
More purchases made. White Merlot, Riesling, Ice wine and some pinot noir..
Cute entrances to these shops.
On our drive back we drove up and down little lanes in the hilly region visiting Balls Falls conservation area. The woods filled with colour..reds, golds, yellows and oranges...
Fantastic time of the year to visit this region of SW Ontario. Want to go back and visit even more of this picturesque countryside and artisan wineries..
