Pop Star Shakira Protests New Arizona Immigration Law (Shakira)

Shakira Latin pop star Shakira greets fans during her visit to protest Arizona's new immigration law on April 29, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Colombian singer met with youth at a community center as well as Phoenix mayor Phil Gorden during her visit in solidarity with the state's Latino population. A week earlier the state government passed what has been called the nation's toughest immigration law, raising fears that Hispanics may be racially profiled by police.
