Gardening

It has been a busy gardening week, even with my small area.
The little garden between the patio and the house ,top soil and peat moss added ; planted with cannas,
herbs; basil, chives,and the
arbour is installed with morning glories, ready to twine up the side,
one is the standard Heavenly Blue

the other with variegated leaves is called Happy Hour Rose. With that name who could pass up that plant?
Coral Nymph salvia ,
portulaca Calyspo Mix
and Pineapple Crush marigolds fill up that space.
My herb pot Sherry gave me has been filled with sage, rosemary, thyme and parsley, ready for harvesting all summer long.

Rosanne gave me climbing nasturtium seeds and they are planted in a square container with an iron tripod for the vines to climb.
Alliums are flowering in the front garden.

One pot
has been planted up with pink Blue Star flowers, Fiber Optic grass , Lemon Gem marigolds,Victoria Blue Salvia and a lovely pink veined Calibrachoa.
Waiting for summer flowers the pansy containers are flowering abundantly.
Into these pots will go lovely pink veined geraniums,
Snowstorm Giant Snowflake sutera and Yellow Chiffon Calibrachoa.
Finding it hard to move the pansies
to their summer spot when they are so happy in their pots..
2 other pots finished; one with Red Dragon Wing begonia
one with a mauve and pink fushia to draw hummingbirds.

Yes, my theme this year is pink, yellow and white with a touch of blues and mauves.

10 x12 Vegatable garden is planted.

6 tomato plants,4 beefsteak, 1 Roma and 1 sweet million.

Green and yellow beans, kale,
cucumbers
and
muskmelon.
Very satisfying to see the garden ready to grow.
Tomato cages yet to be installed and of course weeding, weeding weeding.........
Already planning to start my own seed next year for heirloom vegetables.......
Gardeners always looking forward........
