Maybe I just haven't read the correct information... but how is YouTube supported as an app on the iPhone without Flash? Does it download the files and use Quicktime (or something of the such) to play the downloaded .flv? Couldn't Apple work to apply this same concept to Flash as a whole online?

I totally agree. However, the 4.x was sold as a viable update to my phone, and my older iPod Touch was upgraded automatically. Had I known it would have rendered them quite useless, I would have not agreed to the upgrade. Also, there is no way (that I can tell) to downgrade to a previous IOS (I'm not overly geeky). I am not asking for on-going support, rather that the phone that I paid for works for its lifetime. It is Apple's fault for not providing a reasonable explanation of what the consequences would be or providing an alternative to that IOS.
I agree and appreciate your even measured approach. If the device won't really work with the upgrade, then don't include it.
And let's all be reasonable that a 2+ year old device not being supported shouldn't be a surprise. Tech moves forward very fast. The farther the edge is pushed, the farther and faster away we get from what's behind us.

If a country's regime committing human rights abuses was really the USA's reasoning behind intervention we would have invaded Saudi Arabia, Israel, etc. Simply put, the USA cares if and only if there is some vital interest to be obtained. Reset PRAM, apparently that broke CoreDuoTemp sensor because mine is reading 12�C, iStatPro is reading 12� C as well, but smcFanControl is reading 72� C. Week 27 MacBook by the way. So my suggestion is, if your MacBook has no issues or you are fine with how it is running right now, DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE.

Apple is not interested in what is today known as "3D" which is just two out of focus images hurting your eyes.

It gives people head aches and I feel really ripped off at the movie theaters, when they charge for these glasses, that you theoretically could keep and use again and again etc.
But...........we know why they $ell them.

I really don't see any MB or MBP updates. Again, I could be off, but I don't see those until later this year.
I'm sure the C2D chips coming out on all sorts of Windows laptops may be putting some pressure on Apple to update their laptop line, but I think it's still too soon.

New Nanos are available at the 5th Ave. store in New York. I picked up the black 8GB this morning. Also, they are giving the educational discount on them. Perhaps they only disabled it online.

I'm not holding my breath on the Top secret features...it could have been a joke.
ALTHOUGH, Tiger included some features that were so top secret--like the exclusive dotMac widgets--that Apple couldn't even include them in the final release, so you never know! ;)
hopefully we do get some really good "top-secret" stuff. Time Machine sounds like the utility in windose xp called systen restore and Spaces sounds like Expos�.

I do love that quote. Of all the Winbox makers Dell seems to be the one with the bleakest future. I'm hoping HP can do something with Palm and not waste an opportunity to increase diversity in the market. But this is HP, they seem more interested in making printers (which are still a pain to set up) than innovating in the computer market. (I'd love it if they'd innovate in the printer market and make a network printer that isn't a complete pain.)

I cant help but 2nd that opinion. Dell computers are horrible...the PWS they use in their desktops are a joke.

you also got to look at people that don't have new or fast computers (i currently fall in this category) and people that don't have a fast internet connection (like people that live to far out of town where they cant get high-speed ) or people that like to have a original copy AKA a dvd to take to another house to watch. that is the people that is buying audio cd's and dvd movies from wally world. so even tho if apple got every studio for ITMS it would not affect those buyers then would it.
